What Is a Team?
A team is a group of 12 or more people who want to participate in the race. This group may consist of organizations, schools, churches, neighborhoods, families, friends, etc. Both men and women can participate in both events—5K Run/Walk and One-Mile Community Walk. Anyone who wants to join in the fight against breast cancer can be on your team. There is no limit to the number of members on a team. Team members do not need to participate in the same event; some may choose the One-Mile Community Walk while others choose the 5K Run/Walk.

Form a Team

Teams are encouraged to carry signs or banners with your team logo proudly displayed. Some teams have specially designed T-shirts that they wear as well. Prizes are awarded to teams in the following categories: Largest, Best Team Logo, Most Survivors, Greatest Age Range, and Most Spirited.

Team members can help each other raise pledge money. Teams can hold events through out the year to raise money such as bake sales, auctions or charging a fee for a casual dress day at work. There are great prizes for the top three teams that raise the most pledge money.

TEAM PACKET PICK-UP

Team packet pick-up will be held on Saturday, September 11th from 10am to 5pm at RiverTown Crossings Mall 2nd floor food court from 10am to 5pm.  AN APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED AND TEAMS MUST HAVE 12 MEMBERS REGISTERED TO QUALIFY.  E-mail  teams@komengr.org to make an appointment by Sept. 8th.
